Royce McAuslane

Director, Principal Consultant: Project Development

Royce has over 20 years’ experience in delivering technically and financially robust studies and projects for precious- and base-metal projects in a range of greenfield and brownfield locations across Africa, Asia and Australia.

He has delivered studies from Scoping through to Feasibility with project capital values of US$50M - US$2.5B. In addition, Royce has transitioned multiple studies to projects and ultimately operational outcomes. A focus on getting the right people working in the right areas of each project had led to project outcomes than can be relied upon by all stakeholders.

Michael Davis

Director, Principal Consultant: Process


Michael has 30 years’ experience in the design and operation of mineral processing projects. He understands the full project life cycle from discovery, definition, design, commissioning, operation through to closure. He has worked for both Operating and Engineering Service companies and has a strong understanding of the key drivers for both in the Project space, with ultimate accountability to Operations.

Michael has extensive global mining experience on studies, projects and operations in Australia, Africa, Asia and the Americas as both an in-house consultant and senior management with several EPCM companies.


MineScope works extensively with its key associated companies to provide its clients with a broader service offering and additional experienced resources.

RSC provides geological consulting, exploration management and contract geological services to the global mining and exploration industry. Its team includes geologists, geophysicists, geochemists, resource professionals, project managers, data management and GIS professionals.

RSC has experience in all stages of the mining cycle, from early stage exploration through to development, and initial production, on and to full-scale operation. It has worked in a wide range of locations with a variety of commodities, both on and offshore. RSC’s major offices are based in Australia and New Zealand, with support offices in Africa and Asia. RSC clients include private and listed companies ranging from junior explorers to major mining houses.

RSC works with MineScope Services to provide expert support for resource definition drill planning, geological modelling and mineral resource estimation.

Rescology offers specialist environment and social services to resource companies in Australia and overseas. They consider the integration of environmental and social components essential, and believe these two components are inextricably linked to sustaining value on projects. They are passionate about building local content, mentoring, and transferring skills. Broad multicultural and international experience equips them well for developing strategy, engaging with stakeholders and building partnerships. Rescology’s core expertise comprises of exploration, impact assessment, government and community relations, rehabilitation and mine closure in gold, copper, graphite, diamonds, base metals, rare earths, mineral sands, iron ore and gas.

GoldFern is an Australian-based specialist mining consultancy focussed on mining engineering and corporate support for Australian, South American, African and Asian companies. Commencing operations in 2003, it has a diverse client base with a strong focus on gold. GoldFern has established relationships with associated and major consulting groups and has worked with MineScope Services on several studies. Its diverse underground and open-pit experience, including management of large and small operations, is strongly client-focussed.

Warbrooke-Burns & Associates is an Australian-based consulting business founded in 2007 that focusses on non-traditional resources sector assignments both internationally and within Australia.

Client focussed mine engineering and economic geology provides the foundation for each assignment, further enhanced by a practical and financial mindset that ensures that all engagements consider economic fundamentals.


Project experience is unique and varied and has covered study management, technical due diligence, independent expert reporting under JORC, VALMIN and/or NI 43–101, diverse project management and delivery, and the identification of business improvement & enhancement opportunities.  Warbrooke-Burns has managed short to mid-term technical and operational leadership roles at head office or remote operations, involving mine planning, general mine site operational improvement initiatives and successful exploration management and mineral inventory development.
